Jewish Careers
Two Jewish mothers meet in the street, after not having seen each other
for many years, and, naturally, Mabel asks Becky about her three sons.
Becky naturally responds:
"Well, Irving, he decided to go to medical school. Now he's a doctor,
a surgeon, with a fine practice, and he's making over $300,000 a year.
Max, he went to dental school, and also started up a fine practice,
and he's making over $200,000 a year."
Mabel inquires further, "What about your youngest son, Sheldon?" Becky
replies, " Oy, we hate to talk about that. After high school, he decided
to go to a Yeshiva, become a rabbi. What kind of a job is that for a
Jewish boy?"
